When the BJP
Parliamentary board selected Manohar Lal Khattar as the new Chief Minister of
Haryana, many eyebrows were raised. In the political circles and discussions,
his name was rarely highlighted. He was not known outside Haryana. Even in
Haryana, none has ever thought him to be a Chief Minister material. But,
destiny had something else written for him. This was the first time when he
became the MLA (from Karnal), and going to become the CM. Similar events had
happened with Narendra Modi. None had thought him to be a Chief Ministerial
material when his named was proposed by L K Advani to the then PM Vajpayee ji.
